Jeanne Horak-Druiff – Cooksister

Jeanne Horak-Druiff

Founder of Cooksister

- Times Online‘s top 50 food blogs in the world

- Best South African Food Blog winner in the South African Blog Awards

And she told us a bit about herself:

“For me, blogging is all about the story behind a dish, whether that be a factual history or a personal anecdote. I love the fact that food forms the backdrop to all the milestones in our lives – a christening breakfast, a wedding brunch, a graduation dinner, a wake. It ties us to our past and our future and our family with cords that cannot be broken. Even in a foreign land, you can recreate the favourite tastes of your childhood and take comfort from them. My head may be in London, but my tastebuds still live in South Africa. My blog CookSister! was named as one of the Times Online‘s top 50 food blogs in the world and is also a four-time winner of the Best South African Food Blog category in the South African Blog Awards. My writing has been published in National Geographic’s 500 Food Journeys and 500 Secret Journeys; Creating a Meal You’ll Love; and Foodies of the World. I am also a passionate public speaker and have spoken at blogging as well as food writing and photography conferences and workshops in London, Cape Town and Germany.”

Jeanne will be speaking about how to find your blogging voice, writing skills and top tips for food blogging!
